Anti-Social Behaviour, vehicle nuisance and drug related crime in the area of Nesta Road IG8

Good Evening All,

After concerns were raised about Anti-Social Behaviour, vehicle nuisance

and drug related crime in the area of Nesta Road IG8. The local safer

neighbourhood team investigated the concerns and decided they wanted to

reach out to local residents. A joint street briefing with local residents and

Waltham Forest Council ASB officers was organised. By working in

partnership it allows for greater ideas to come to the table in order for a

workable plan to be devised on how we can solve the on-going issues.

Residents highlighted their concerns which included that the gate in the

area of the rugby club entrance, must remain secure for the benefit and

safety of the residents.

A follow up street briefing has taken place to obtain an update from the

residents, who were pleased with the actions taken by  Hatch Lane SNT 

and WF ASB officers in helping to reduce ASB by changing their shifts to

accommodate later times

when the ASB has been taking place. Street briefing play a crucial role and

allow for the community to feel part of the decision making and have their

voice heard.
