Officers from the Kirkby Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates. Kingsway Park, Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby in Ashfield on Friday 24th October at 10:00am.
Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Nothing to report Burglary Other Between 10.00pm Wednesday 24 and 5.00am on Friday 26 September at the Co-op Food Store, Selston Road, Jacksdale, the foyer window was damaged in an attempt to break in. No entry was gained. Theft of motor vehicle At 4.40pm on Thursday 25 September in Kingsway, Kirkby in Ashfield, a black with silver Yamaha MT-O3 was stolen from outside ‘Vets 4 Pets’. Two people were seen wearing dark clothing, one on an orange and white scrambler bike, who made off in the direction of the Nags Head and the town centre. At 4.14pm on Thursday 25 September in Urban Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a black and red Honda CBR 500 RA motorbike was stolen from outside Aldi. Theft from motor vehicle Between 10.00pm on Tuesday 30 September and 4.30am on Wednesday 1 October at Lindley’s Court, Lindley’s Lane, Kirkby in Ashfield, a grey BMW X1 car, parked on an open driveway, was broken into. The boot was left open but nothing was taken. Theft At 3.40am on Sunday 28 September at the Badger Box Inn, Derby Road, Annesley Woodhouse, a case full of Christmas decorations was stolen from outside the rear door by a male, 5-05”, wearing black clothing, black gloves and a balaclava. Criminal Damage At 6.45am on Friday 26 September in Walesby Drive, Kirkby in Ashfield, the victim was woken up by the sound of breaking glass. The outer pane of a double glazed window had been smashed. At 8.53pm on Monday 29 September on Hallam’s Farm, Blidworth Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of motorbikes being ridden over crops and damaging farmland. The bikers have broken through hedges from the golf course, ridden over the fields and out the other side. This happens every Sunday between 11.00am and 5.00pm. ASB At 4.53pm on Friday 26 September in Marlborough Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of teenagers messing about inside the Old St. Andrews Church. The caller was concerned that someone might get injured. At 1.52am on Tuesday 30 September at Selston Country Park, Alfreton Road, Selston, a report of a small white vehicle constantly revving the engine and wheel spinning in the car park. This had been going on for some time.
