We have received recent reports of rogue trader fraud where resident of Dartford have been targeted.

Rogue traders often approach homes uninvited, offering seemingly attractive deals for property maintenance or repairs. Unfortunately, these offers frequently result in overpriced, poor-quality, unnecessary, or even dangerous work. Common services include garden clearance, roof repairs, tarmac drives, and chimney work. Victims often find the price escalates or the job is left incomplete.

These criminals don’t just knock on doors—they may also advertise through:

Protect yourself: 

✅ Always say NO to cold callers. 

✅ Ask for ID & check credentials. 

✅ Get 3 written quotes before agreeing to any work. 

✅ Never pay upfront. 

✅ Consider CCTV or a video doorbell for extra security.
