Man sentenced to 24 weeks’ imprisonment for Daventry incident |
||
A man has been jailed for affray following an incident in Daventry in which a burning missile was thrown. Saul Terry, aged 57, appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on June 10 charged with throwing/casting an explosive substance with intent to burn/maim/disfigure/disable/do grievous bodily harm, and making threats to kill, following an incident on June 8. The case was sent to Northampton Crown Court, and on August 26, Terry admitted an alternate charge of affray over the incident and was jailed for 24 weeks. The explosive substance charge was dismissed, with the threats to kill charge ordered to lie on file. Terry, of Ladycroft Drive, Daventry, was also given a 12-month restraining order banning him from contacting the person he had threatened by any means. | ||
