Police are appealing after a group of youths attacked a 15-year-old boy in Hartlepool on Saturday 27th September. The incident happened around 8:10pm on Kesteven Road, when a large group of around 40 youths aged 14-16 gathered and a 15-year-old boy was chased along Cromer Walk, on to Mowbray Road and he was then assaulted, leaving him unconscious with facial injuries and requiring hospital treatment. Officers believe that there are a number of witnesses who were present at the time and would ask for them to come forward, and anyone with dash cam footage to contact Cleveland Police. A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and he remains on police bail whilst enquiries continue.
