SNT Inspector provides update after incident involving boys at Stratford building |
||
Stratford Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) Inspector, Jake Kibblewhite has provided an update after we responded to an emergency call at a building on Masons Road over the weekend. We were called by the ambulance service reporting that two boys had been injured around 4.40pm on Sunday. Officers, the fire service, and ambulance attended and two boys were taken to hospital. One suffered injuries that are believed to be life-threatening, and a second boy suffered serious leg injuries. Both remain in hospital. A third boy was assessed by paramedics at the scene and was not believed to have received serious injuries. Investigations are ongoing, but we believe the two boys may have fallen from the roof of the building. Insp Kibblewhite said: “As part of our ongoing enquiries, we’ve spoken to a number of people in the area to try and establish the full circumstances around the incident. I’d like to thank everyone who’s talked with our officers so far, and to those who swiftly called the emergency services. “We remain in contact with the boys’ parents and are supporting them at this difficult time. We would ask people not to speculate – particularly on social media – about what might have happened. A full investigation is under way and we will share updates as and when they are available.” | ||
