Millenium Park

Good Afternoon.

I hope that I find you all in fine fettle,A quick update for you all regarding millenium park and the flats that ae due for demolition opposite the park.The park and flats are being patrolled on a reguler basis by you're New southgate officers along with help from our Arnos colleagues.

We have made it very clear to the council that the security of the empty flats is paramount to keeping crime away from the vicinity.

Whilst the flats have been boarded up several times people have still found access and when this has been happening we have been very vocal about the need for the building to be secured as a prioroity.

This has now been done and most of our attention in that area of the ward is now directed towards millenium park.

The attention that we have paid to the park has resulted in several stop and searches which have resulted in a number of drug finds.

We will continue to be a presence in the park whenever we are on shift as we have no intention for the park to become an ASB hotspot.

If you see us patrolling the park come and say hello,A big part of the new southgate SNT ethos is to personally know as many residents of the ward as possible.
