Introduction - Neighbourhood Inspector |
||
Good afternoon,
I wanted to introduce myself as the new Neighbourhood Police Inspector for Bolton South.
I joined Greater Manchester Police in 2018, initially starting my career on the Wigan District as a uniform response officer.
In 2020 I was promoted to Temporary Sergeant where I took up a position within the Prisoner Processing Unit. Here I was responsible for overseeing the processing of detainees in custody. In this role I was able to play an integral role in improving Criminal Justice Processes and our response to Domestic Abuse.
In 2021 I moved to the Bolton District. During my time as a Sergeant at Bolton I have undertaken numerous positions, namely: Response Policing, District Investigation Teams, Prisoner Processing Units, and Neighbourhood Policing. During my time on Neighbourhood Policing, I had the management of Bolton Town Centre & Great Lever.
In 2024 I was promoted to Inspector, initially I returned to Response Policing where I was able to lead my response team on the front line, responding to 999 emergency calls.
In 2025 I was afforded the opportunity to return to neighbourhood team on the South of Bolton. I have a passion for neighbourhood policing, and a strong desire to make sure the communities I serve are safe and desirable for the people who live and work there. My team and I will work hard with our partners to prevent, and where necessary solve the needs of our communities, focusing on the basics and listening to the priorities identified by our people.
Over the coming weeks and months, I will be visible within the community, attending meetings with partners from the local authority, schools, housing providers, and many more. The next meeting we have is on the 7th October at 18:00-19:30 which is our PACT meeting, this is taking place at Cherry Tree Primary School and I will be chairing this meeting and making more face to face introductions.
Please come down and voice any concerns you have, and we can look to incorporate these concerns as we shape the future of policing for your community.
Thank you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.
