Crime Alert - Theft from a Vehicles

Since 08/09/2025, 11 offences have been recorded in the area of Hull City Centre and Springbank. Seven of these offences are theft from Motor Vehicles. committed between 23:00 – 04:00 hours. The peak day is of offending is a Saturday.
A number of these thefts are as a result of insecure entry with property stolen includes bank cards, cash, clothing, and tools, which have been on display. Please ensure you place all items out of site and secure your vehicles.

If you have any CCTV footage (including video doorbell), have anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offences please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101

To reduce the risk of your vehicle being broken into, please read through the below advice -

Keep the vehicle locked at all times, and ensure you double lock it.

Make sure that your vehicle alarm is set.

Do not leave any valuables or "interesting" items on display

Don't leave tools in a van over night.

If possible park your vehicle on a drive or as close to your home as possible.

When away from Home Park in a busy, well overlooked area. If the car will be there after dark try to find somewhere illuminated
