Romance scammers create fake profiles, build emotional connections, and then as for money. They often claim to be working overseas, have sudden emergencies, or promise a future together that never comes.

🚩 Red flags to watch out for:

- They move the relationship along very quickly.

- They avoid video calls or meeting in person.

- They ask for money, gifts or bank details.

- Their stories don't quite add up.

✅  Protect yourself:

- Never send money to someone you haven't met in person.

- Do reverse image search of profile photos.

- Talk to friends or family if something feels off.

- Report suspicious accounts to the platform and Action Fraud.
