Neighbourhood update |
||
Hello from the Broxtowe Borough Neighbourhood Policing Inspector.
The current local police and partner priorities will continue for the last quarter of this year. These are:
What have we been doing about them?
Overall ASB has been reduced across the Broxtowe Borough. This link below shows the reduction of ASB in Eastwood and Beeston areas, which is great news. This shows our current priorities are seeing an improvement. Antisocial behaviour falls significantly in hotspot areas | Nottinghamshire Police
ASB Beeston In September, a dispersal order was issued for 24 hrs due to the increase in calls for service in Beeston Town Centre. NPT patrolled the area. During this time an arrest took place for shop theft, this investigation is ongoing. No dispersal notices were issued. The calls for ASB reduced over the 24hrs of the dispersal notice.
ASB Eastwood Eastwood South has had no increase or decrease in ASB compared to the same period last year. Which is good news. NPT will continue to work with partners, local businesses and carry out high visibility patrols to deter ASB. Some good news, police arrested, charged and remanded a male for burglary. Road related offences The link to the article below is a force wide update for Op Wheelspin. NPT officers, key partners and residents attended a public meeting to discuss the nuisance anti-social vehicle issues along the A52 Toton area. It was agreed at this meeting that partners will be reviewing this area of the road network to see if any improvements can be made to reduce noise and speed issues long term. NPT will continue to patrol the area and take positive action. Hundreds of warning letters issued to antisocial drivers | Nottinghamshire Police
NPT has been carrying out policing operations to help reduce issues with bikes. This proactive work has led to NPT recovering stolen motorbikes in Beeston after a report from a member of the public Stolen motorbikes recovered in Beeston | Nottinghamshire Police
Community Concerns
Drug dealing has been raised as a concern. NPT executed a drugs warrant at an address along Oak Drive, Stapleford. No drugs or offenders were located, but there were offences relating to abstracting electricity which NPT are investigating.
NPT will be working with the Modern Slavery team to tackle the offences of exchange of sexual services for money. NPT will also make sure safeguarding is carried out for those vulnerable and most at risk.
Thank you
