Chiswick SNT updates |
||
Good evening Chiswick,
Once again thank you for all being part of Met Engage, the uptake around Chiswick has been much higher than Hounslow Borough in general which is great to see and shows how much you all care about what is happening in your area.
Some updates around our activity and some good results we have had-
Back in April PC Storey and PCSO Manning on Riverside attended an address to deal with some ASB reports where there was various parties, noise etc late at night. Inside the address PC Storey's 6th sense went into overdrive seeing clear signs that the venue was being used to host drug fuelled parties. She quickly arrested the occupant and called for back up. Inside the property over £30k worth of drugs were recovered, the suspect was charged with PWITS and remanded. This month Ian WONG of Chiswick plead guilty to 7 counts of possession with intent to supply a variety of drugs and was sentenced to just over 3 years in prison.
As part of Operation Automotive we have been trying to identify key suspects on eBikes breaking into cars. Following extensive CCTV work we were able to identify one of the offenders. We went on a hunt for him and although he gave us the slip at first we did not give up and arrested him a short time later. The male in question was charged with theft from motor vehicle X3 and Criminal Damage to motor vehicle X3. Thanks to our hard work with CCTV he was faced with overwhelming evidence and pled guilty to all counts at court. He has been bailed with a court imposed curfew for pre sentence reports to be completed.
We attended a licencing check with the Council for a Hotel and Newsagents near Chiswick High Road, whilst there was no issue at the hotel we uncovered a large number of illegal vapes in the newsagents. Trading standards attended and seized the goods.
We also reattended a property we had helped to secure previously following a squatter getting in. The individual had regained entry and so we once again took possession of the property and this time ensured that the housing association fully secured the address.
These are just a few of our ongoing activities, we will continue to target offenders and crimes that effect the local community.
Many thanks,
Sgt O'Donnell | ||
