Four drivers caught speeding by our Special Constables

Dear Resident,

Two of our Special Constables were back out in Peterborough at the weekend as part of a road safety campaign. Here is what they got up to:

🚗Caught two speeders in Morley Way in Woodston, where one was driving at 41mph and the other was going 43mph. One of the drivers also didn't have business insurance, so the vehicle was seized.

🚗Gave words of advice to a driver who almost drove into us from a roundabout

🚗Dedicated patrols to tackle anti-social driving

🚗Stopped a car that not only had two defective brake lights, but the driver had taken it without a relative’s consent and wasn’t insured!

🚗Assisted in a search for motorbikes and quadbikes being ridden with no helmets.

🚗Caught two speeders in Bretton Way. One driver was reported for doing 50mph in a 40mph zone, and the other was reported for driving 51mph, not wearing a seatbelt, and a young child not being properly secured in a child seat.

Vision Zero is a campaign that aims to end all road deaths and serious injuries.
