Tottenham Central Safer Neighbourhoods Team is committed to protecting our community from all forms of intimidation and distress. Stalking and harassment are serious offences that can affect anyone, and we want residents to know how to recognise the signs and seek help.

🔍 What is Stalking and Harassment?

Harassment includes repeated unwanted contact, threats, or behaviour that causes alarm or distress.

Stalking is a more fixated form of harassment, often involving following, monitoring, or impersonation.

These behaviours may occur online or in person, and if they happen two or more times, they may be criminal offences under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

🛡️ How to Stay Safe

Trust your instincts – if something feels wrong, it probably is.

Keep a record of incidents, including dates, times, and any evidence.

Secure your home, devices, and social media accounts.

Avoid direct contact with the perpetrator.

Speak to someone you trust or seek professional support.

If you or someone you know is experiencing stalking or harassment:

Call 101 for non-emergencies.

Call 999 if you are in immediate danger.
