September has brought around the last month of this quarterly priority of Speeding. PCSO Hunt is not sure whether we will continue with this as a priority until next month. We will publish this on our Social Media Channels and Derbyshire Alert.

Your Safer Neighbourhood Team have been out in the Wirksworth area, conducting speed checks on Steeple Grange and Derby Rd/Adam Bede Crescent. Though numerous drivers were sticking to the 30MPH limit we had a few drivers that did not wish too. They were issued on the spot Notice of Intended Prosecution’s – for driving between 36-45MPH. Some of these drivers may receive points and a fine and others may receive a Speed Awareness Course.

Wirksworth Community Speed Watch is still in the process of being set up – we are hoping for no rain for our next outing!

Middleton by Wirksworth Community Speed Watch are going from strength to strength targeting drivers, driving over the 30MPH through their village!
