Issues with Street Homeless

The City Centre and Waterfront team are aware of the issues raised surrounding the street homeless that are currently on Southside Street.

It is not illegal to be homeless and as a team we are very proactive in ensuring that anyone in our area that finds themselves homeless is directed to all of the services available to offer support to them and to help them on the pathway back to having a safe and stable roof over their heads.

What we all find unacceptable is the anti social behaviour and activities that can sometimes surround some members of the homeless community. We as a team will always take action on this, it may sometimes take a bit of managing and collection of information to appropriately evidence these behaviours so we can then start taking action against them.
