Unknown males knocking on doors in Silverdale

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to inform the residents of Silverdale that concerns have been raised regarding two males knocking on residential properties asking if they come inside to charge their phone.

We have been informed that there was one male knocking on doors in the early hours of the 14/09/2025 and another male was visiting properties yesterday on the 25/09/25. From the information we have been provided, it is difficult to establish if this is the same person or two separate individuals. The males have not been seen together and the incidents were 10 days apart.

At this time there are no offences and these incidents have been logged as suspicious circumstances.

We would like to remind vulnerable residents NOT to open their door to a stranger without a door chain/bar to restrict access and NEVER allow a stranger into your home. Please call the police if you have any concern and we will attend as soon as possible to identify who they are.
