Phone Snatches

Around 9am this morning, two males went on a phone snatching spree across Beckton and Custom House. They managed to steal 6 phones in just 45 minutes from unsuspecting pedestrians.

Their luck ran out at Beckton Bus Station, where PS Buss and PC Cameron caught them in the act. The officers (quite literally) jumped into action, stopping the suspects mid-theft and recovering all 6 stolen phones.

In the chaos, the suspects fled — leaving behind a bike… and a shoe. One suspect was quickly arrested nearby and I've no doubt an other will be in custody soon.
