Male Charged with attempted Sexual Assault in Colville Ward

Dear Colville Residents,

Last week, officers covering the North Kensington Wards conducted a Violent Against Women and Girls (VAWG) event in the Ladbroke Grove Area. These were high visibility patrols where we engaged with women and girls so that they could share any concerns they had with us.

Whilst on this event, Colville Officers recognised and arrested a male for attempted sexual assault. A few days prior to this, on Colville Ward, he had followed a woman home at 0130am. The mobile phone footage of the incident taken by the victim is haunting to say the least.

The male was charged and remanded to court. The court have now further remanded the male in to custody until his next Crown Court date towards the end of October. 

I hope this reassures residents that we take crimes of this nature very seriously and we will do all that we can to bring offenders to justice and to protect the local community.
