Suffolk Connected Launch

Today marks the official launch of Suffolk Connected, Suffolk Constabulary’s new purpose built two-way public communication tool. 

In 2026, Suffolk Connected will fully replace our existing messaging system Police Connect.  We are encouraging all users of the Police Connect system to switch to Suffolk Connected as soon as possible to continue to receive service messages.

Acting Inspector Dan Peck, who is currently working to deliver the project, said “Suffolk Connected is a significant upgrade and investment in our communication capability with the public and our communities.  This new system allows for local officers to communicate directly with the local communities to understand and respond to hyper local issues.  It does this while maintaining our capability of wider and broader communications across Suffolk.  Not only does Suffolk Connected allow us the continued capability to send messaging to our communities, but it also allows our communities to respond. It allows the public to tell us what matters to them, what their concerns are and provides policing with an opportunity to respond, let communities know we are listening, and they have been heard. 

It brings a digital surveying capability and the opportunity for community mapping, so we know where our officers have been, who they’re talking to and when.  This really is a tool for the community to let us know what is going on and our opportunity to respond, letting you what we did.

Never have we had this live-time digital capability that will also tell you when and where our officers will be available at events, public meetings and engagements, for you to talk face to face with your local, named community police officer.  I see Suffolk Connected as a partnership between the public and police, providing the opportunity to prevent crime and disorder together through co-operation and trust.”

Suffolk Connected is an ongoing project and as we scale up and train new users the volume of messages will increase.  In the interim period you may receive messaging from both Police Connect and Suffolk Connected.  Those receiving this message via the platform and will understand the benefits it brings; however, we would encourage you to share our message to increase our reach within the Suffolk community.
