Mornings are getting colder |

Update of my activities: On the 19th I conducted the Neighbourhood Matters sign ups at Costa and had help from PCSO’s for the Hospital. This went great, we met lots of people and many of them signed up. I will be trying this again soon to get more people signed up and utilise Neighbourhood Matters to the best of it’s ability. I will let you know when this next session will be, I know you are all signed up already, but you may want to have a chat about issues in your area. If you know anyone that’s wants signing up get them to email me with: ofpsp.snt@westmercia.police.uk I will get them signed up. As usual when I have had time I have been out and about patrolling. I have been out on the bike again around Brintons Park and spoken to Birchen Coppice School. I have also seen lots of the parents at pick up time, I know a lot of schools have issues with parking but it was great to see so many parents walking. I have been completing the file work, getting investigations ready for court. It can be a long process but its good to see an investigation heard in court. On 21st I have given a car owner a TOR (traffic offence report) for driving, a car, around our area without a valid driving licence or insurance. I will endeavour to catch these people, sometimes its being in the right place at the right time, so I’m out when I can. Please let us know if you are aware of anyone driving illegally in a car or on a motorbike and the team here will do what we can. I have been out to crimes in the area and provided a concerned household security advice and devices to protect the home. The Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park SNT are here to provide support along with prevention and investigation of crime. On 23rd in a joint SNT operation an offender on the run from the police was apprehended. Linked with violent crime this male has been arrested. This is why it is good to have SNT in the areas to gather information. Please continue to pass information to us about concerns in your area. This week I have conducted mental health training. Police aren’t the best agency to deal with mental health but I know first hand we see a lot of it and usually the first on scene. Don’t ignore your warning signs. Think about your mental health as you would physical, any concerns book an appointment with your GP. The mornings are getting colder, wrap up warm and don't leave your car de frosting in the morning! A car with keys left in it is likely to be stolen even if you are just “popping” in the house, trust me.
I wish you all a great weekend and will see you again on Tuesday 30th September 2025 (I have some training on the Monday)
Fun fact, this week is Recycling Week. Find out how to correctly dispose of your household items - Recycle an Item | Recycle Now #RecycleWeek It is also World Bollywood Day, my favourite is RRR.
Don’t forget to show any appreciation to any Neighbourhood matters post you are interested in, it helps us know what you want to hear. | ||
