Walk and talk event for women and girls

Officers are hosting another Walk and Talk women's safety event tomorrow - Thursday 25th September.

Come along to share your views, exercise in a safe space and meet new people!

The initiative has been organised as part of our ongoing work to help make women and girls feel safer.  The walks will enable women and girls to discuss their concerns with officers in a more relaxed setting.

The events, led by female PCs and PCSOs, start with a 20-30 minute walk followed by an opportunity to stay for a chat or to continue exercising in a safe environment.

Events are planned for the following dates:

• Thursday 25th September – 7pm - King George Playing Field, Welwyn Garden City (meet at the car park, just off Beehive Lane)

• Thursday 16th October – 7pm - Welwyn Garden City town centre (meet on the Howardsgate green by the Knife Angel)

• Thursday 27th November (White Ribbon Day) – 7pm - King George Playing Field, Welwyn Garden City (meet at the car park, just off Beehive Lane)
