This is a message from Val McPherson Chair of Princes Risborough & District Neighbourhood Watch Association. I received two messages today from Coordinators across Princes Risborough today, the first is on Parking Scams which seems to be spreading across the different areas of Buckinghamshire: Please be very aware of this message and do not click on the link. I have not put down the actual link below but changed the wording as I do not wish for anyone to be scammed. It reads:" unpaid parking fines. The deadline for paying the fine is September 22, 2025. If you fail to [pay the fines on time, you may be subject to additional fines and interest, and your credit record may also be affected. After reading this information, please enter your vehicle registration number on the following link(information inquiry is free) to view and pay the parking fine. http:// parking - pc-lllee. pun/pay - this is an example only. Please complete the payment immediately to avoid having your driver's license revoked and to prevent more legal disputes. Thank you again Nottingham Knockers Yesterday evening 22/9/2025 a young man called in Little Park knocking on doors trying to sell small items. He was telling the residents he was recently out of prison. One resident he called on became upset by his tone as he was getting cross, but he apologised after an intervention. He continued around the road then left. Please do not buy from doorstep sellers as the price is often inflated and not of good quality, plus they need permission to do so. A few smart steps can make all the difference: Be aware of who’s around you and keep your phone out of sight in public spaces Use a strong, unique passcode or facial recognition Add an ‘If found’ message on your lock screen with a friend’s contact Turn on tracking and remote lock features Avoid storing passwords in unencrypted notes Register your phone on Immobilise.com with the IMEI (*#06#), serial number, & any unique markings If police recover your phone, the details you’ve registered can help them identify it and return it to you.
