Community Safety Day at Nursery Row Park – Standing Up for Women & Girls

On Tuesday 16th September, the North Walworth & Faraday Safer Neighbourhoods Team, together with Southwark Council’s Anti-Social Behaviour Team, Council ASB Wardens, Night ASB Wardens, the London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service, and Park Wardens, hosted a Community Safety Day at Nursery Row Park, SE17.

The event was dedicated to supporting women and girls in our community, focusing on standing up to violence and promoting personal safety. Residents had the opportunity to meet and walk with local police officers, receive tailored crime prevention advice, and take part in free mobile phone and bike marking sessions to help protect their property.

The afternoon was a great success, with strong community turnout and positive feedback from attendees. It was fantastic to see so many local residents engaging with our teams, asking questions, and taking proactive steps to keep themselves and their property safe.
