Local Speed Survey

Dear Resident, 

PC Holyday & PC Green were out in the Wellington Road, Horeshay area on Sunday 21st September conducting a speed survey following concerns raised by residents. 

100 vehicles were checked with the mean average speed of 27.88mph. 

Both the Safer Neighbourhood Team and Operational Policing Unit (OPU) have been carrying out high visibility patrols during the evenings over the last few weeks  due to concerns regarding illegal car meets and the anti social use of vehicles on Wellington Road.

The survey is in response to some concerns raised by residents within the area, regarding the perceived speed of some vehicles and in line with the local Policing Charter.

All data is collated and sent to our Roads Safety Team and shared with Parish Councils.

Speed surveys are conducted at various times and days, throughout your local area by the designated Safer Neighbourhood teams in conjunction with Parish Councils
