Recent Crimes in Custom House

Good Afternoon All,

I hope this message finds you well.

I wanted to provide you with an update on crime-related activity in the Custom House area for September so far.

A significant portion of Custom House crime has stemmed from the BP garage on Newham Way, which has experienced a surge in shoplifting activity. One male has been arrested for several offences, though there are other shop-lifters we are actively hunting for.

We’ve seen 4 thefts from vehicles. One individual has been arrested for going equipped to steal from your vehicles (He admitted the offence upon arrest).

There have been 3 cycle enabled phone snatches. These occurred on Victoria Dock Road, Freemasons Road, and Tollgate Road. I encourage everyone to keep a close eye on their mobile phones, particularly when standing at bus stops or walking from Canning Town Station, as thieves often target commuters leaving the station with their phones visible.
