Sheep on the road

We received several calls last week reporting sheep escaping from a local farm in Rugeley and getting onto a busy road. Drivers were concerned that an accident could happen and numerous calls came into us.

Officers attended, spoke with the farm owner, and ensured the sheep were safely returned. Thankfully, no accidents occurred.

We continue to work with local farmers to prevent further incidents like this and keep our roads safe. If you spot animals on the road, please report it immediately.
