VAWG Walk and Talk Event - Thursday 16th October at 18:00hrs |
||
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Feeling Unsafe, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. I have organised a "Walk and Talk" Event at Highfield Park, St Albans which will be taking place on Thursday 16th October. The meeting point will be the Visitor Centre Car Park at 18:00hrs. This initiative was started in Welwyn Hatfield by a local Police Community Support Officer after residents, particularly women and girls, frequently voiced their concerns about feeling less safe as the evenings draw in and become darker. Given the positive feedback from residents, I am rolling this Event out to residents within the St Albans District. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.herts.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
