Two males detained and one arrested for drug use and road traffic offences on GOSS HILL and the AQUILLA estate |
||
I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.
On Saturday 20th September at approximately 4pm Bickley Neighbourhood team were patrolling the Goss Hill area where residents have reported large congregations of males using drugs, riding loud vehicles as well as causing general anti-social behaviour. As we approached the area from the direction of Chislehurst station three males were stood around a moped in balaclavas and tracksuits. They quickly ran in the direction of Barfield road where one of the males who owns the moped was detained by officers. Another male made off on a moped in to the direction of the Aquilla estate. Bickley SNT went in to the estate to flush the male out and quickly discovered the dumped moped in a car park on STONELEIGH ROAD with the male running from officers once more. After a foot chase hurdling fences the male was detained by PC Cranston and stop and searched. It was quickly discovered the teenager had no driving licence and had been using cannabis. He was arrested for drug driving, driving not in accordance with a licence and driving with no insurance. We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
