Local Priorities Wildlife crime issues Message |
||
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Wildlife crime issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. We are aware of an increase in reported incidents involving catapults in the area. Thankfully, we have had some recent success around these issues, including a stop search on four youths in Tonbridge yesterday (20/09/2025). Thanks to your reports, we were able to locate these youths, finding two catapults, a pair of scissors and multiple nuts/bolts upon their persons. All youths are residents of Tunbridge Wells and as such a joint approach with our colleagues in Tunbridge Wells Community Safety Unit will be crucial in stopping any future issues. Thank you for your continued support around these issues. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.kent.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
