Use of E - Bikes and North Yorkshire Police's response.

Officers from the York outer neighbourhood team have conducted a visit to a resident in Clifton who was seen to be riding an illegal E-bike on the 18th of September on Haxby Road. 

Officers explained the legality of the use of Ebikes on a public road. As such, the parent of the child voluntarily surrendered the bike to Police and as such it will be destroyed.

Please report any sightings of E-bikes to Police using either 999 or 101
