There has been an increase of burglaries in the Caldershaw area its important to always remain vigilant especially these events are taking place nearby your home address. Here are some precautions that you could do to prevent any further incidents from occurring. 1. Secure Entry Points Lock all doors and windows whenever you leave, even for short periods. Upgrade locks to deadbolts and use window locks or security bars. Reinforce doors with solid cores and install a peephole or video doorbell.
2. Install Security Systems Alarm systems: Use monitored alarms that alert you and authorities. CCTV cameras: Place cameras at entrances and vulnerable spots. Motion sensor lights: Install outside to deter intruders at night.
3. Make Your Home Look Occupied Use timers for lights, radios, or TVs when you’re away. Ask a neighbour to collect mail and check on your property. Don’t advertise absences on social media.
