Five Down, More to Go: Piccadilly Gardens Officers Barely Breaking a Sweat |
||
The Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team has been out on foot patrol tonight, making a strong impact in the city centre. So far, officers have arrested five individuals for offences including Grievous Bodily Harm, begging, and outstanding warrants.
The proactive patrols are part of the team’s ongoing efforts to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour in the area, ensuring Piccadilly Gardens remains a safe place for everyone.
Sergeant Jon Wyatt, who leads the neighbourhood team, said: “We are prioritising public safety. So far, we have arrested five offenders and we’re not even halfway through the shift. Our officers will remain on foot in the gardens into the early hours, continuing to take action where it’s needed.”
The team’s presence in the heart of the city highlights their commitment to visible, community-focused policing, deterring offenders and reassuring the public. | ||
