Police Activity |
||
Good Afternoon Residents,
Today, officers from the Southfield and South Acton Safer Neighbourhood Teams carried out a series of proactive patrols in the area. These patrols form part of our ongoing efforts to tackle crime, disrupt drug-related activity, and provide visible reassurance to our local communities.
Summary of Today’s Activity: Two vehicles were stopped, and four male occupants were searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act. A small quantity of cannabis was seized. Appropriate action was taken in line with policing policy and procedures. During routine checks, officers located a vehicle suspected to be lost or stolen. Following further investigation, it was confirmed to have been reported stolen. The vehicle has now been safely recovered and returned to its rightful owner, preventing further offences and inconvenience. While on a lunch break, one of our officers spotted a moped previously involved in dangerous incidents, including failing to stop and driving at police. The sighting was swiftly shared via personal radio. Officers responded immediately, resulting in a foot pursuit. Enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate those involved. Officers also conducted leaflet drops promoting Met Engage, our new platform for community engagement. Please spread the word with neighbours and local groups — Met Engage is where we’ll be sharing updates and encouraging residents to get involved in shaping local policing priorities.
These incidents highlight the continued dedication of your local officers remaining alert and proactive both on and off duty. We remain committed to keeping Southfield and South Acton safe, and to working with you to tackle the issues that matter most. If you have any concerns, or information about crime or antisocial behaviour in your area, please don’t hesitate to contact us — or report anonymously via Crimestoppers.
Kind regards, Southfield Safer Neighbourhood Team | ||
