Protect Your Bike from Theft – Weekend Reminder from Tottenham Central SNT 🚲

As the weekend approaches, we’d like to remind all cyclists in our community to take extra care in securing their bikes. Whether you're heading out for leisure or leaving your bike outside shops or stations, please follow these key steps to help prevent theft:

🔒 Double lock it – Use two different types of locks (e.g., a D-lock and a chain lock) to secure both the frame and wheels to a sturdy, immovable object.

📍 Lock it in a well-lit, busy area – Thieves are less likely to target bikes in locations with high foot traffic and good visibility.

🧾 Register your bike – Use a national bike registration scheme to help police identify and return stolen bikes.

📸 Take photos and note details – Record your bike’s make, model, frame number, and any unique features.

🛠️ Remove accessories – Take lights, bags, and other removable items with you.
