Enagagement Meeting update

Last night a community Engagement meeting took place at the Armthorpe Community Centre.

The meeting was well attended and it was great to see some new faces!

The Hot Topic was speeding vehicles and vehicles being parked in such a way that they are causing an obstruction to the highway. 

We discussed the legislation around the parking of vehicles and what Powers the Police / Council can use.

SYP and DMBC will be carrying out an operation in the area to tackle poor parking.

When parking your vehicle in please consider the following:

It is an offence to obstruct the highway, and it is also an offence to leave a vehicle in a dangerous position. Before leaving your vehicle take a second look and check that your vehicle is locked, secure and in a sensible position.
