Dear Resident,
A Good Week or a Bad Week? You Decide. It’s been a busy week for the Local Neighbourhood Policing Team in and around Leigh Town Centre, with several arrests made. Wednesday, 17th September: A 38-year-old male was arrested on a Recall to Prison. Not great for him. Thursday, 18th September: A 48-year-old female was taken into custody for Failing to Appear at Court. She made it there in the end—just not quite how she planned. Friday 19th September: Officers stopped a vehicle and arrested a 46-year-old male for Drug Driving offences. While dealing with this incident, another male who was Wanted by the Police for Drug Offences and Failing to Appear at Court, decided it would be a good idea to cycle past two Police vans (lights flashing), four Police Officers, and a Police Community Support Officer, acknowledging the Officers as he passed by. He was promptly Arrested before being searched and then further Arrested for Carrying a Bladed Article and Possession of an Offensive Weapon as a result of the search. All in all, not a bad end to the week.
