Large Drug seizure from a Vehicle passing through the Coldhurst Area

Good afternoon from the Coldhurst & Westwood Neighbourhood Policing Team

We had a really good result yesterday where one of our patrols spotted a suspicious vehicle passing through the area that had previous intelegance relating to Drug supply. PC Akhtar & colleague PC Miah stopped & searched the vehicle under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. Officers discovered a large amount of Cash and Class A & B Drugs during the search and the Offender was subsequently arrested for “Possession with intent to Supply”. He remains in Custody for further questioning.
