Welcome and Hello from St Helier safer neighbourhood team |
||
Good morning residents.
Your local team have been busy with dealing with ward concerns - there has been a rise in motor vehicle crime recently so we ask you all to be vigilant and to double check that vehicles are locked and that there are no belongings and valuable items left inside them overnight. The team have also been busy with neighbour disputes, shoplifting, town centre issues, and more. We'd like to keep you informed about everything we are doing and have moved all our social media and communication to this platform. This will hopefully allow us to speak to you directly to address your concerns. While not a means for directly reporting crime, you can speak to your team with any thoughts about how we can make the area safer. And now an ask for you. We know a lot of streets have residential Whatsapp groups that share news and views. Please can you share the below to them so we can sign up as many people as possible!
Dear resident The Metropolitan Police are migrating our communications away from the standard social media networks and on to a new system called “MET ENGAGE”. This will allow us to update you directly in one place, rather than get lost among the various platforms where you may miss updates due to various factors. In the past, you have allowed us to keep your details on file for mail send outs, communication updates and the like and we are emailing you to see if your would like to continue this service. We have your details on file already, but these may have changed / be out of date. Please can you supply the following if you would like to be involved in the system. · Name · Address · Contact telephone number Also, if you add your concerns that are happening in your street, we will take that on board too. You can view details of the system here - https://www.metengage.co.uk/

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!
