Thieves often target people who are distracted while using their phones in public—especially near busy transport hubs. Here’s how you can protect yourself and others:

✅ Top Tips to Prevent Phone Theft

Keep your phone out of sight when not in use. Avoid texting or scrolling while walking.

Stand away from the kerb if you need to use your phone—thieves on mopeds or bikes often snatch from the roadside.

Use a secure lock (PIN, fingerprint, or face ID) and turn off message previews.

Enable tracking (Find My iPhone / Find My Device) and back up your data regularly.

Know your IMEI – dial *#06# to get your phone’s unique ID and store it safely.

🚨 If Your Phone Is Stolen

Call 999 if the theft is in progress. Otherwise, report it online or via 101.

Use your tracking app to locate or lock your device.

Contact your network provider to block the SIM and phone using your IMEI.
