On Tuesday 16th September a vehicle was reported as stolen from The Devere, East Park Drive, Blackpool. This was after the victims backpack containing car keys had been stolen🔑
Fylde Rural Task Force were quick to respond to this incident and upon making key enquiries at scene, they recognised the male involved to be the same male they arrested for a series of vehicle crime offences in Lytham St Annes last month👀
The team swiftly located and arrested the 16 year old male on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
The male, aged 16, from Blackpool has now been charged and remanded to court for numerous offences including burglary, vehicle interference and three counts of fraud by false representation. These charges are in relation to both the incident which occurred in Blackpool and the vehicle crime offences which occurred in Lytham St Annes last month👮♂️
A second male, aged 17, from Blackpool has also been arrested in relation to this incident and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
We have since located the stolen vehicle and will arrange for this to be returned to its rightful owner🤝
To those involved, we hope this sends a clear message that vehicle crime will not be tolerated in our area. You will be identified, arrested and prosecuted👩⚖️ |
