Man charged with failing to comply with protection notice during proactive patrols |
||
We’ve been continuing our #problemsolvingpolicing patrols across Lichfield and recently charged a man following a stop and search.
As part of efforts to tackle the issues affecting local people and businesses the most across Staffordshire, officers have been carrying out visible patrols in a number of areas in the county. We’ve been focussing on taking proactive action against anti-social behaviour and high harm crimes that are causing the most concern within local communities.
On Sunday (14 September), we stopped a man on Market Street for a stop and search. A 34-year-old man, from Tamworth, was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a community protection notice. He will be appearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 1 October.
On the same shift, we also engaged with a number of youths who were outside McDonalds and in the city centre, making sure to give strong words of advice around anti-social behaviour. They left the area without issues and no further concerns were raised.
These patrols are taking place regularly across Staffordshire as we continue to get on the beat and tackle the main issues affecting people and businesses. | ||
