Parking scam via Text

Police would like to make you aware of the following scam which has occurred in your area.

A text messages saying your vehicle has an unpaid parking fine that needs urgent payment.

The link opens a page that looks very similar to a local council websites., where payment can be made.

Be aware, this could be a scam.

Contact the council directly, who will be able to confirm if there are any outstanding payments due.
