Properties evacuated following the discovery of a suspected hand grenade

Several properties in the Warden Hill area have been evacuated following the discovery of a suspected hand grenade.

We were called to Norwich Drive at around 3.55pm today (Wednesday 17 September) after the item was discovered within the garage of an address.

A cordon has been put into place as a safety precaution and those affected have been made aware.

The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) will be safely denotating the item in due course.
