End of Six message from the Stockland Green Policing Team |
||
We wish to share with you some of the work the Stockland Green neighbourhood policing team have been doing over the last week. We are committed to reaching out to all in the community including those harder to reach, more vulnerable individuals, who, for whatever reason may not feel able to always contact us. This week, our PCSO’s have visited Elwood Day Centre in Stockland Green who support adults with disabilities. Our aim has been to equip the service users with the information and confidence they need to get the support they need should they need to access the police and other services. We have been conducting school patrols, and showing a presence on common routes used by secondary school pupils travelling home from school. The beginning of a new school year comes with it’s challenges as many transition to new schools, which includes independent travel. Our team has also been distributing door and window alarms to some of our vulnerable victims of crime, which will hopefully make them feel safer and more secure. As well as community engagement and crime prevention, our team has made several arrests this week, including one of the West Midland’s most wanted ‘Top Ten’ suspects. A male has been arrested who was wanted for a Robbery and a Domestic Assault within the Erdington sector.
