TILLICOULTRY COMMUNITY COUNCIL

INTRODUCTION
The community police officers for Tillicoultry and Coalsnaughton are PC 247 James Miller and PC 652 Fraser Easton, who are stationed at Alloa Police Station, Kilncraigs, Alloa. You can contact them by calling 101 or by e-mail at –

There were 22 incidents of criminality recorded in August 2025.
PRIORITIES
ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
There were 4 recorded incidents of anti-social behaviour in the area over the last month, they were as follows –
On 13th August 2025 at Chapelle Crescent, Tillicoultry youths committed racially aggravated behaviour towards a resident and were thereafter traced and charged by Police. The report was sent to the relevant authority due to their age.
On 20th August 2025, at School Terrace, Coalsnaughton, Police attended a property in relation to a disturbance. No offences were identified for the manner of the call however the occupant decided to verbally abuse Police officers and was arrested and charged.
On 22nd August 2025, at Chapelle Crescent, Tillicoultry, occupants at a property were subjected to racial abuse by two adults. Police are following positive lines of enquiry.
On 24TH August 2025, at Chapelle Crescent, Tillicoultry, youths recklessly discharged an air weapon in the street. Police are following positive lines of enquiry.
VANDALISM
There were 3 recorded incidents of vandalism in the area over the last month, they were as follows -
On 14th August 2025, at Sterling Mills, Tillicoultry, multiple youths caused damage to the rooves of the premise, smashing lights and ripping off tiles. Multiple youth suspects are to be identified through CCTV and will be reported as necessary when traced.
On 16th August 2025, at Murray Square, Tillicoultry, the door to the clock tower was ripped off and one male youth was traced and issued a recorded police warning.
On 16th August 2025, at Inspirations, High Street, Tillicoultry a shop window was smashed. There are no further lines of enquiry established after investigation.
VIOLENCE
There were 4 recorded incidents of violent crime in the area over the last month, they were as follows -
On 9th August 2025 at Cairnton Place, Tillicoultry, a serious assault was committed and a male was arrested, charged and remained in custody until court on the next lawful date.
At the same address, a male was also arrested for a less serious assault, conveyed to Police custody and remained there until court on the next lawful date.
On 10th August 2025, at Nechtan Drive, Coalsnaughton, a domestic incident occurred, a female being assaulted to her injury amongst other offences being identified. He was since been arrested and charged.
On 10th August 2025 at Ramsay Terrace, Tillicoultry, Police traced a young missing person and were duly assaulted by her. A report was sent to the children’s panel.
On 14th August 2025, at Braehead, Tillicoultry, an assault to injury took place however after investigation, there was insufficient evidence to charge the male.
ACQUISITIVE CRIME
There were 7 recorded incidents of acquisitive crime in the area over the last month, they were as follows –
On 1st August 2025 at Dollar Road, Tillicoultry, a resident was subject to an insurance fraud. There are no further lines of enquiry.
On 5th August 2025 at Fir Park, Tillicoultry, a resident was subject to a £600 fraud. The complainer has been re-imbursed and there is no further lines of enquiry.
On 9th August 2025 at Cairnton Place, Tillicoultry, a theft by housebreaking occurred and games console was stolen. Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
On 23rd August 2025, at Blackfaulds Street, Coalsnaughton, an occupant had items stolen from their vehicle. There are no further lines of enquiry.
On 28th August 2025, at High Street, Tillicoultry, a resident was subject to a £9000 fraud by way of a trading scheme.
On 28th August 2025, at Nike, Tillicoultry, £109 of goods were stolen. Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
On 29th August 2025, at High Street, Tillicoultry, a known to Police has stolen goods from a business premise. Enquiries are ongoing and Police will look to trace the suspect in due course.
On 31st August 2025, at Chapelle Crescent, Tillicoultry, a theft by housebreaking occurred at a council owned property and two internal doors were stolen.
ROAD TRAFFIC
On 9th August 2025, at Hawthorn Avenue, Coalsnaughton, a vehicle collided with another causing damage and thereafter did fail to stop and provide details.
On 13th August 2025, at Moss Road, Tillicoultry, a female was arrested for driving whilst unfit and whilst being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug amongst other offences.
INCIDENTS OF NOTE
None of note.
ANY OTHER COMMUNITY ISSUES Community officers continue to address parking and driving issues in Tillicoultry. Tickets and warnings have been issued and will continue to be issued where appropriate. Please continue to report any concerns to police on 101 or directly to us via e-mail. The Clackmannanshire Community Team will continue to target local drug dealers utilising intelligence received from the community. This intelligence is essential to enable officers to act against those involved and we encourage any information to be passed to the police or via Crimestoppers. Several warrants and stops were executed this month resulting in the recovery of controlled drugs and cash. Facebook and Twitter – Community Messages can be placed on local Police sites via the Community Sergeant, currently PS Alisdair Goldie who are based at Alloa Police station. | ||
