Stolen Vehicle - Derwent Avenue

This morning Tuesday 16th Sept between 01:03 & 01:06 a White Mercedes, Registration 
WD68CMZ (reg published with owners permission) was stolen from a property on Derwent Avenue. The property is on the even number side close to Elgar Close.

It is a common practice for thieves to ‘Lay Up’ a stolen vehicle to see if it has a tracker. Please can everyone see if this vehicle has been left somewhere.

This may not be the only event of the night! Please can you all check CCTV in and around Derwent for any images. There may have been other attempts across the ward. There is probably a support vehicle! any information on that would be useful.

This is another Keyless vehicle theft ! We can’t emphasise enough the importance of shielding your keys. With a secondary deterrent of a steering lock etc don’t make it easy for these thieves police have enough to do, these crimes are largely preventable.
