Community Update – Incident on Newtown Street SW11 |

This morning, Police and the London Ambulance Service attended Newtown Street SW11 following reports of a serious assault. A male victim was located, treated at the scene by paramedics, and taken to hospital for further care.
A male has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody. Multiple crime scenes remain in place. Officers from the Battersea Park ward are conducting reassurance patrols in the area.
Whilst this may cause concern locally, we want to reassure residents that this was an isolated incident. Detectives from SW BCU CID are leading the investigation and are working diligently to investigate the circumstances of this incident.
