There has been an increase in number plates being stolen as well as items being taken from vehicles. Here are some points to remember when you are parking your vehicle outside your property or on the roadside:

Secure your Registration plate with anti-theft number plate bolts.

Consider installing an alarm.

Consider installing CCTV & dusk to dawn lighting.

Contact your vehicle dealership about fitting an aftermarket product to prevent Catalytic Converter being removed.

Etching Catalytic Converter with serial number / registration number.

Check you have everything valuable with you when you leave your car.

Report any suspicious activity; look out for your neighbours.

Try to park your car in a garage or a well-lit area.

Fully close the windows and doors. Lock the doors and activate any security devices when leaving your car unattended.

Do not leave car keys in the car, even for a second - treat them as you would your cash and credit cards. Make sure they are kept in a secure place away from the front door - burglars have been known to break into houses and offices to steal keys.

Consider purchasing a ‘Faraday wallet’ to store smart car keys in preventing key less car theft.
