Emergency Services Training Day - NEC

Good morning Resident,

We wanted to let you know about an emergency services and partner agencies training exercise that is taking place today (Saturday 13 September) at the NEC. 

Please do not be alarmed. Exercises like this are held regularly throughout the country to test our response to a major incident.

There is nothing to worry about, but you may see and hear extra activity in the area. This could include loud noises, for example helicopters, sirens and shouting.

We have made every effort to keep disruption to a minimum. There will be no road closures and access will be maintained at all times. 

We may or may not use drones as part of the exercise, but please be assured, if they are used, they will be capturing footage solely from the exercise and will not encroach on your privacy at any time. If personal drones are spotted over the site, appropriate action will be taken against these drones.

Members of the public will not be involved, and the exercise area will be totally controlled.

It will be business as usual for all emergency services and partners, who are aware of the exercise, and you will still receive the same level of service.
